Summary

The gateway to Mount Rainier National Park serves as the host for this popular season opening event. This event begins at the Enumclaw Expo Center.

The long course goes 5.1 miles using the local roads. Once on your bike, you will ride on rural roads through farm lands (watch for Mount Rainier) riding up Mud Mountain Dam Hill and come to a screaming descent down Highway 410 taking a hard left to the fairgrounds and you get to do this 14.4 mile loop one more time for a total of 28.8 miles. The final run is again on local roads, actually taking you to the base of Mount Peak completing 3.8 miles.

The short course starts with a 1.64 mile run then 1 loop of the bike course. Finishing with the same 3.8 mile run as the long course.

**NEW in 2024** An additional bike option has been added. A mostly flat almost 10 miles in between the short distance runs.

Charity of Choice

A portion of the proceeds from this event will be going to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). JDRF was BuDu Racing’s charity of choice and we’re excited to continue this support. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that strikes children and adults suddenly, and can be fatal. Until a cure is found, people with type 1 diabetes have to test their blood sugar and give themselves insulin, every day of their lives. And even with that intensive care, insulin is not a cure for diabetes, nor does it prevent its eventual and devastating complications, which may include kidney failure, blindness, heart disease, stroke, and amputation.

If it wasn’t for our sponsors, these events wouldn’t happen. Support them!
